I’m just a steering wheel attendant these days but have been driving since 1982 when auto boxes in lorries were a rarity. I used to drive a Roadtrain for Tankfreight on the Texaco contract in the late 80’s, early 90’s. Ours had both gearboxes in, some had the Eaton twin splitter which I preferred and one or two had the Spicer 10speed. Love the Guy Big j I spotted, one of the 1st lorries I drove was a BigJ. I couldn’t help finding the video, see the link below. After seeing you a few times on other channels, I finally decided to come over (virtually) to check you out. I’ve subscribed and will get notified of new content now. I’ll share with your existing subscribers what I do to help out keeping content free (to me). I support the channels by viewing (obviously) but also endeavor to place at least two additional interactions on everything I watch. The first is to “thumbs up” or like it before viewing (so I don’t forget or fail due to interruptions) …I can always come back and change it to “thumbs down” but usually my real influence there is in the second thing (comments). Comments are powerful in letting both the channel and potential advertisers have a pulse on the type of subscribers that follow the channel. If there is a particular video that I feel a friend might like, there is nothing better (more powerful) than to “share” the video. 💥

My uncle Tom in Montana USA has 6 Fordson tractors and 2 of them are Power majors. His father had the first 2 shipped over new from England in the late 40s and then the other 4 my uncle bought through the years. But all 6 are still all original and never had any serious issues or work done to them. He still uses every one of them even now. That's a real testament to how good of a machine Fordson tractors are. It's truly amazing what those machines can do considering the HP they have.

Could you not mag drill the holes oversized then turn some bushing up on a lathe to take the slack on the carriage issues as a thought new to your videos but I must say 👍

I used to work on a dairy which used one of these but they had taken off the skip and mounted a 3 point on the front and a leveller for the sand beds on a small ram on the side. It was an interesting Frankenstein machine but it got the jobs done quickly

NZ govt had heaps of 40's model GMCs. I started driving in a 6x6 twin stick left hooked 44yrs ago. That thing could go anywhere.

Keep going with it, I am interested to watch and I am wondering what the future holds for that machine.
